The Connected Car segment Vehicle Services includes fees for vehicle-related services such as maintenance and diagnostics. There is a distinction between services required in the event of a specific malfunction or breakdown (Safety and Security) and predictive services and maintenance services (Maintenance and Diagnostics).

Safety and Security includes services like an automated emergency call service (eCall) and additive services, e.g. roadside assistance and breakdown management services.

Maintenance and Diagnostics includes services that constantly check vehicle data and inform about optimal test intervals, for example. Also included are services which run software updates over the air and approximate the remaining service life of wearing parts based on their expected life-duration as well as sensory data.

Remote Services refer to services whose primary focus is remote control or localization of the vehicle.
