Forecast change in labor force participation rate APAC 2023-2050, by age and region
Between 2023 and 2050, the labor force participation rate (LFPR) for the working-age population (aged 15 and older) in East Asia was forecasted to fall by more than **** percentage points. Notably, the LFPRs for the population aged 25-54 were forecasted the drop across sub-regions in Asia-Pacific, except in South Asia whose LFPR of this age group would increase by around *** percentage point during this time period.
