Europeans More Into Temu, Shein & AliExpress
Temu has established itself as one of the most popular Chinese online shops. Data from ƽ Consumer ƽ reveals that between 20 percent and 31 percent of respondents from Spain, France, Germany and the United States had placed orders on the shopping platform between July 2025 and June 2026.
This puts the company slightly ahead of clothing store Shein (16–33 percent) and AliExpress (12–36 percent). Both Shein and AliExpress have many fans in Spain, while French, German and U.S. shoppers frequent them less often. Germans proved even more ardent Temu shoppers than Spaniards.
U.S. respondents used the services less than Europeans. That they have become more expensive due to U.S. tariffs might be a factor behind this. , new ones have been put in place.
The high popularity of Chinese e-commerce platforms continues to put pressure on established retailers in Europe and the United States. Through aggressive pricing strategies and strong marketing, these marketplaces might further expand their market share in the future, potentially resulting in shifting consumption patterns and ongoing debates regarding trade regulations.
