American Health Care Act

No States Support The American Health Care Act

According to a recent Quinnipiac University poll, only 20 percent of American voters approve of the American Health Care Act (AHCA). Its deep rooted unopularity has been reinforced by another new poll from, showing that the bill also lacks widespread support at state level. In fact, the research found that not one state supports the Republican health bill in a rare example of red and blue unity.

Oklahoma, which is strongly Republican, has the highest level of support in the U.S. but even then, only 38 percent of people gave the bill their approval. 45 percent of voters in that state were against it while 17 percent gave no opinion. Opposition was highest in Massachusetts, Hawaii and Washington State where 59 percent indicated that they were against it.
