Streaming Is Mainstream For Young Adults

For young adults across the United States, television is on the path to extinction while streaming has gotten mainstream. That's according to polling conducted by who found that 6 out of 10 young Americans aged 18 to 29 use an online streaming service as their primary means of watching television.

A cable or satellite subscription is the favored method of TV consumption among most other U.S. adults, particularly those in the 50-64 and 65+ age brackets. Among U.S. adults in general, 59 percent primarily watch television over cable or satellite while 28 percent stream and nine percent rely on a digital antenna.
