Global TV Shipments Fall for the Second Straight Year
After years of unprecedented success, the global TV market has now contracted for the second straight year. In 2013, TV shipments fell to 225.1 million, a 6 percent decline. Western markets are saturated with flat panel televisions sets, resulting in a much reduced level of demand.
