Mueller鈥檚 approval ratings for his handling of the Russian probe are 20 percentage points higher than President Trump鈥檚, according to a new poll by .

Over the course of the summer, Mueller鈥檚 approval ratings jumped up by more than 10 points while Trump鈥檚 hovered around 30 percent. Mueller鈥檚 approval stands at its high watermark since CNN began polling on the topic.

Between mid-August and mid-September Paul Manafort, Trump's former campaign chairman, was convicted on counts of tax and bank fraud, a result of investigative work by Mueller鈥檚 team. Trump鈥檚 former lawyer Michael Cohn plead guilty to illegal campaign payments, which Mueller鈥檚 team investigated and then referred to the US Attorney鈥檚 Office for the Southern District of New York.
