The Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee and North Carolina attracts the most vistors of any national park in the country, . Almost 10 million people visited the park and UNESCO World Heritage Site annually since 1996, twice as many as visited the Grand Canyon. That's partly thanks to its proximity to Atlanta, Charlotte and Nashville as well as the free parking on offer.
