For many families, visiting a water park is a key part of the summer holiday experience. Others, however, might consider those parks overly crowded and best avoided. AECOM and TEA recently published their which shows the water parks with the highest attendance figures in 2018.

Chimelong Water Park in Guangzhou, China, is the most popular such attraction on the planet and it brought in 2.74 million visitors last year. Typhoon Lagoon Water Park at Walt Disney World Resort, Florida, was a close second with 2.3 million visitors while Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park came in third with 1.95 million holidaymakers passing through its doors.
