Bangkok has narrowly surpassed London to become the world鈥檚 top destination for overnight visitors, according to Mastercard鈥檚 Global Destination Cities Index. In 2013, 15.98 million people had an overnight stay in Thailand鈥檚 capital.

This is slightly more than London which recorded 15.96 million international visitor arrivals. Paris completes the top three with 13.92 million overnight visitors while Singapore and New York round off the top five.
