Foreign Reserves
European Countries' Foreign Reserves
When it comes to state finances, the Swiss know that only ‘Cash is King’. Their total reserves of foreign currency and gold reserves sum up to 679.3 billion dollars, even more than their annual GDP. The small alpine country therefore has more reserves than Germany and Russia put together. The UK ranks seventh in the European comparison, stockpiling only 135 billion dollars of foreign cash.
